तो कहानी की शुरुआत वहाँ से होती है जब अचानक कॉलेज में खबर फैली की हमारे प्रैक्टिकल एग्ज़ाम्स थ्योरी एग्ज़ाम्स के बाद नहीं, बल्कि उसी हफ्ते में हो रहे हैं। पहले तो टीचर्स और कुछ सीनियर्स यही कह रहे थे कि प्रैक्टिकल्स थ्योरी के बाद होंगे, तो हम सभी आराम से प्रैक्टिकल्स की तैयारी कर रहे थे। हां, हमारा सारा फोकस थ्योरी पर था। टीचर्स भी ज्यादातर प्रैक्टिकल्स का पीडीएफ देकर बस हमें कॉपी-पेस्ट करने के लिए कह देते थे।

लेकिन फिर अचानक ये अनाउंसमेंट आई कि हमारे प्रैक्टिकल एग्ज़ाम्स थ्योरी से पहले होंगे। एक झटके में सारा माहौल ही बदल गया। हम सबके चेहरे पर चिंता की लकीरें साफ़ देखी जा सकती थीं। किसी को अंदाजा नहीं था कि इतने कम समय में प्रैक्टिकल्स की पूरी तैयारी कैसे होगी।

अब मैं भी धीरे-धीरे प्रैक्टिकल्स की प्रैक्टिस करने लगा, लेकिन सच कहूं तो कुछ खास आता नहीं था। सब कुछ बस एक हल्के से डर के साथ चल रहा था कि आखिर एग्ज़ाम में क्या होगा। दोस्तों से चर्चा की, तो पता चला कि वो भी मेरी तरह ही कन्फ्यूज़्ड हैं। ऐसे में थोड़ा सुकून मिला कि मैं अकेला नहीं हूँ। रात भर हम सबने प्रैक्टिस की और अगली सुबह डरते-डरते एग्ज़ाम देने पहुंचे।

एग्ज़ाम के दौरान सबसे बड़ा डर ये था कि कॉलेज के पीसी का इंटरनेट कनेक्शन रहेगा या नहीं। मैंने पहले ही एक वेबसाइट बना रखी थी जिसमें सारे प्रैक्टिकल्स का पीडीएफ अपलोड किया था, ताकि ज़रूरत पड़ने पर वहां से देख सकूं। जब एग्ज़ाम शुरू हुआ, तो मुझे दो सवाल मिले — एक मेरे सिलेबस का था, लेकिन दूसरा सवाल सिलेबस के बाहर से आ गया। उस वक्त सच में लगा कि दिल की धड़कन एक पल के लिए थम गई है।

किसी तरह इंटरनेट चालू होने का फायदा उठाकर, मैंने अपने वेबसाइट से पहला प्रैक्टिकल जल्दी से कॉपी-पेस्ट करके कर लिया। दूसरा सवाल सॉल्व करने का समय नहीं था, क्योंकि टीचर्स लगातार पीसी के पास आ-जा रहे थे, ये चेक कर रहे थे कि कोई चीटिंग तो नहीं कर रहा। एक अजीब सा डर सबके चेहरे पर था, लेकिन फिर भी किसी तरह पहला प्रैक्टिकल एग्ज़ाम खत्म हुआ।

Hi guys! How are you all? Today, I’m going to share the story of my Semester 5 practical exam day.

The story starts when, out of the blue, the college announced that our practical exams would be held before the theory exams, and they would start that very week. Until then, all the teachers and even some seniors were saying that the practicals would be after the theory exams, so we were all calmly focused on theory preparation. Our teachers mostly gave us PDFs for the practicals and told us to just copy-paste, so we hadn’t really practiced deeply.

But suddenly, this news hit us like a bombshell, and the entire mood changed. You could see the worry on everyone’s face. Nobody had a clue how we’d complete all our practical preparation in such a short time.

I started practicing little by little, but honestly, I didn’t really know much. There was just this constant fear of how I’d manage during the exam. Talking to my friends helped a bit — knowing they were also confused made me feel I wasn’t alone. We practiced the whole night, and the next morning, we nervously headed to the exam.

The biggest fear during the exam was whether the internet on the college PC would work or not. I’d made a website with all the practical PDFs uploaded so I could refer to it if needed. When the exam began, I got two questions — one was from the syllabus, but the other was completely outside it. At that moment, I felt my heart skip a beat.

Luckily, the internet was working, so I quickly copy-pasted the first practical from my website. There wasn’t enough time for the second question because the teachers kept coming around, checking that no one was cheating. Everyone had this tense look on their faces, but somehow we all managed to finish the first practical exam.
